Day 238

Jeremy golfed after work today, so he left this morning at 7:20 am and still isn't home so it was just the girls and I all day. We went for an early morning wagon ride (sold the double stroller...bittersweet), played, had lunch at napped. This afternoon we spent some time in the kitchen, then after supper (which the girls "made") we went to get Ella's hair cut. After we got back home we went for a short wagon ride, then get ready for bed. Now that Claire is in a big bed, it's so fun to snuggle both of them in bed to read stories. Night two was a success as well. Now, if only we could get Claire to sleep past 5:30 am.

(Ok, so I cheated...this pic is from yesterday, but I still wanted to share it!)

Day 237

We had a great time last night! Unfortunately, going to bed at 2:30 am and Claire getting up at 5:30 am does not mix well and it's a lesson we should have learned at least one other time this summer. Thankfully mom took over and let us sleep until 7:30 am. We went to church then to Greenville Cafe for breakfast. When we got back home Jeremy & Ella headed out to the Timber Rattlers game (her 1st game!) and mom, Claire and I did some shopping. Jeremy had homemade pizza made for us when we got home, then dad came over to visit for a while. A busy, good & exhausting day...I was asleep before Jeremy got home from the grocery store around 9 pm. (And can I just say that I have an amazing husband who is willing to let me go to bed early while he does the grocery shopping!)

Oh, Claire hit a milestone today. We no longer have a crib in our house. After climbing out of her crib 3 times during naptime, we decided it was time to convert the crib to a toddler bed. We all got her ready for bed and she went to bed on her first night with no problems at all!

Day 236

We headed to Plover this morning for Heather's baby shower. I think everything went really well and Heather got lots of great things for Baby Woyak. It's becoming more and more real that we'll have our very first niece in just a couple months! I am so very very excited! Oh, and for the record, Ella has changed her mind that baby should no longer be named Sleeping Beauty. Snow White is now the new front runner.

Tonight we're heading out to the Bill Tesch Memorial Concert & Summer Send Off to see Vic Ferrari and Boogie and the YoYoz. Mom is staying with the girls and I am looking forward to a fun with Jeremy, Cassandra & the Hoffmans, a few drinks, music and ending the night with a campfire.

Day 210-235

Wow, I have fallen behind here badly. I knew August would be insanely busy for me...and it was. The only time I picked up the camera was for the events I had planned this month. We had Ella's party on the 6th, Alisha's baby shower on the 13th, Jessica's bridal shower on the 14th, Alisha's maternity shoot on the 20th, two Hillside orientations this week plus we have Heather's baby shower tomorrow. That's not even mentioning the hours upon hours I spent planning all this! I really hope once September begins we can get more into a routine and back to our normal speed of life. I know things will come up and I will have planning for Claire's birthday to do and I need to prep for the wedding I am shooting in October, but mostly I am really looking forward to just being home and with Jeremy & the girls.

Days 206-209

Wow, where did this week go?!?!

Monday we cleaned the house and had another visit from Grandma Jump & Papa Smith.
Tuesday we hosted playdate at our house and then I ran 4 hours worth of errands plus got a haircut in the evening.
Wednesday we had a playdate at the Ring's and then I had a Delve study and more errands to run in the evening.
Thursday we hit up the Target toy clearance, ran to the library and hit up a rummage sale then packed for Door County.

No pictures again this week. I feel like a hummingbird, never in one place more than a few seconds!

Day 205

How is it that whenever you think you have a completely open day, it ends up filling up in the summer? We didn't have any plans today originally, but ended up having Heather, Colleen and my dad visit plus we met up with the Abuhls and Hoffmans at the Lions Park for a little photo shoot. That's okay though. We liked having our visitors here and I'm glad we did the photo shoot so we had some memories of the Abuhls before they leave for Texas.

Day 204

Ella had her first Build a Bear experience today. Uncle Wes took her there (and I tagged along) as her birthday gift. She was so excited! She chose a gray cat, stuffed it, gave it a heart, gave it a bath and made it's birth certificate. She named her cat Birthday Cat. Oh, and she had a great time shopping for her cat and managed to talk Uncle Wes into a dress AND pajamas for her cat. Because of course she needs something to change her cat into when it's bedtime!

After BAB Jeremy & Wes took off for DeerFest and the girls and I ran a couple errands and took a nap. This evening we headed over to Heather & Phil's for a cookout. It was a perfect summer day!

Days 199-203

We had (another) very busy week with VBS, Hillside projects, party planning, Tom Pease concert in the park and errand running and I did not pick up my camera at all this week. Obviously I didn't meet the 365 challenge, but there are some moments I don't need photos for that will always be in my head.

Day 198

After a busy weekend it was great to not leave the house at all today. This evening we relaxed and watched Gnomeo & Juliet.

Day 197

Today we went to Cassandra's parents house to celebrate Cassandra's graduation from dental hygenist school. There were a few nostalgic moments!

Day 196

Today was a lot of fun...the Abuhls, the Hoffmans and our family met up at Bay Beach for the day. Ella had a blast riding rides with Maddy and Lucia and rode a few of the rides I didn't expect her to. Claire on the otherhand, wouldn't even let us attempt to put her on anything other than the boats. We fit an ice cream break in between rides and ended the park with a swim in the kiddie pool. The Abuhls had to leave earlier to go camping, but the rest of us went to Chuck E Cheese for some pizza and games. Ella was paranoid that Chuck E Cheese was going to pop out but thankfully he didn't make an appearance. Today was a complete flashback to childhood with the Bay Beach trip followed by Chuck E Cheese. The girls were still going strong on the way home and once we got home they crashed. Great day!

Day 195

Wearing mommy's shoes :-)
