And another day of no pictures...I am failing this project 365 thing in a major way. I have learned though, that if I am forced to pick up my camera it makes photography much less appealing. Not saying there aren't 100 little moments each day that are worthy of capturing. But sometimes, life it better not seen through a lens.
This morning we headed to New London to visit Brent, Amanda and Emily Otis. Emily will be a year old and this is the first time we met her. Every time we planned to get together with them, one of the girls would get a cold or weather would get in the way. I am happy we finally got together. Emily is a sweetie and Ella & Claire had lots of fun with Emily and her toys. Brent & Amanda had a tough journey with baby Tyler, so I am so very happy they have Emily now.
We spent the rest of our day hanging around the house and Jeremy grilled steaks for supper. I am loving having more "normal" family time again. So thankful for some of the busy-ness to be done so we can refocus on family time.

Day 242
Lazy day...we had eggs and sausage for breakfast, played, did some chores and napped. When Jeremy got home we had an early supper and then grocery shopped. We lead a glamorous life. Really, I truly do. I wouldn't have this any other way.
Day 241
The morning went very smoothly, we were all dressed, fed and ready to go by 7:45 am. We even managed to get some pictures. Claire and I walked Ella into the classroom and stayed for about 10 minutes. Ella found Hayleigh right away and didn't even give a second look when it was time for Claire and I to leave. That made it so much easier to leave her and I no tears were shed, surprisingly!
While Ella was at school Claire and I ran to Target and then came home to do a few chores. We picked Ella up and I was happy to see she looked like she had a great time! We met Jeremy at Hong Kong Buffet in Neenah for supper...Ella's choice to celebrate her first day of school. While she was eating her crab rangoon she happily announced how much she liked her "cranberry-n-goon". :-)
Day 240
Our last day of summer vacation! I had mixed feelings all day on this. I know Ella will love school and learn so many things, but it's hard to hand her off to someone else for just over 3 hours a day. Claire & I will miss her! (Though I am sure I'll appreciate the break in fighting between the girls).
We spent our last morning of vacation at City Park with Sarah, Callie and Wesley. We played, checked out the fountains and had a picnic. Apparently Ella & Claire decided it was a no nap day, so we had a loooong afternoon. Once Jeremy got home we had our first family meal all week, then played outside for a while before bath and bedtime. Big day tomorrow!

Day 239
It's a no photo day...busy morning playing, then Open House for Hillside this evening. I had to be there early and stay until it was done (and then some), but Jeremy brought the girls for about half an hour so Ella could see the room all set up and meet some of her new classmates. She is thrilled her friend, Hayleigh, is in her class again. I have no doubts she'll have a great year!
